Patricia Webb, MS, LAPC

Therapist

Patricia Webb

Background:

Patricia is a graduate of Mercer University where she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling. She completed an internship at Grady Health System where she worked with adults in a clinical setting using evidence-based modalities. In addition, she has experience working in community mental health as a member of an Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT). Here she served individuals with serious forms of mental illness, including several schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Currently, Patricia Webb is under the direct supervision of Carol Moore, LPC, RPT-S, CPSC, C.Ht. and is pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

After working with a wide range of clients and modalities, Patricia has come to appreciate using an eclectic approach to therapy. This approach allows her to meet her clients’ needs by taking a holistic perspective and shaping therapy around who they are as a person. This means that she will meet you where you are, and you will work together to find solutions. Patricia is committed to supporting her clients when they are experiencing anxiety, depression, codependency, grief, intimate partner violence, self-worth struggles, stress management, trauma recovery, and more. She will help you find what works for you right now, and will help to develop a plan to support and empower you on your journey.

Approach:

Patricia’s approach to therapy is integrative and multicultural. She combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with a person-centered, solution-focused approach that will provide individuals with the therapeutic tools needed to focus on their goals.

Patricia is passionate about making counseling accessible to all. This includes reducing the stigma associated with mental health and breaking down the barriers that may dissuade individuals from seeking care. She does this by creating a safe space that provides clients with the freedom to explore, discover, and grow their innermost strengths. She is supportive, but will also challenge individuals to realize that they are the chief expert of their life. She emphasizes her role is not to judge or dictate how someone is supposed to live their life, but to provide a therapeutic healing space for growth.

Patricia believes that we all need an outlet for our feelings, and we don’t always have someone to turn to that will listen without judgment. Therapy is an incredible space to help you develop a deeper understanding of self, help you heal from past wounds, and make meaningful changes in your life. Her favorite moments in therapy are when clients begin to see themselves for the first time, as she has been seeing them all along.

With Patricia, each session will be tailored to meet your needs. She will guide you as you work through and process past difficulties that are significantly impacting your life. She invites you to develop new behaviors and dive deep into new and unknown perspectives that will allow you to be the best version of yourself.

Fun Facts:

Patricia enjoys supporting her community by volunteering for local events. Some of her favorite past times include walking for exercise, planting container plants, traveling, and spending time with family and close friends.
