Background:

Alexandra is a graduate of LaGrange College, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She completed her internship at Calumet Center for Healing and Attachment where she worked alongside women and children with domestic violence, trauma, and substance abuse backgrounds. Alexandra is currently pursuing her associate licensure and will be under direct supervision of Founder, Carol Moore, LPC, RPT-S, CPSC, C.Ht.

Approach:

While at Calumet Center for Healing and Attachment, Alexandra worked alongside different professionals to ensure each client received holistic care that was individualistic to them. Alexandra ran several groups in which residential clients were exposed to a wide range of topics including boundaries, relapse prevention, budgeting, healthy relationships, communication, and more. Alexandra appreciates the evolving field of counseling and is dedicated to learning new, innovative, modern therapeutic approaches. She resonates strongly with CBT and finds that understanding events that leads to thoughts that produce a behavior is important for clients when obtaining their goals.

Fun Facts:

Outside of being a counselor, Alexandra is a wife and mother. She has a large Labradoodle named Boeing who might make an appearance a time or two. Alexandra enjoys spending time with her family and watching college football. Alexandra wants you to know finding the right counselor is like finding the right pair of pants, so whether this is your first experience in counseling or your tenth, she is dedicated to helping you navigate this process in a manner that helps you achieve your goals.
